I'm only in town for a couple days, there's no way I can make my court date?

Yes, unless your parent is present when the officer writes the ticket, then in that case, there is no violation of the law.

The undercover cop was hitting on me, when I turned him down he wrote me a MIP ticket.
All instances of police impropriety should be reported to the Public Integrity Division. However the officer's misbehavior will not negate the MIP charge in court.

Will this MIP ticket effect my ability to get into college?
I always look at it this way: if the choice is between a candidate with an MIP conviction vs. a candidate who does not have a MIP conviction, I would want to be the candidate without the MIP conviction.
 
How can I keep this MIP off my criminal record?
The first step is to complete the form under "free case review", consider the Offer of Legal Representation you will be provided, send the the legal fee and summons copy, let the attorney handle the matter and follow the directions provided to successfully resolve this matter to keep it off your record.
